Linux Mint 12 KDE Installation Instructions
Linux Mint KDE 12 Lisa ISO image can be downloaded from this page, and it is 1.2 GB in size. For installation, you need a DVD or enough large USB flash drive.
If your computer does not boot from a CD / DVD / USB drive, you need to make changes to your computer’s boot order in BIOS boot menu.

When the desktop opened up, start Firefox and go to helpsite.org site where you can find the installation instructions, and at the same time you can follow these instructions when you installing the Linux Mint operating system.
Moving between the installation window and Firefox, use Alt+Tab
The computer starts to read the CD / DVD-ROM or USB stick, this menu appears, click the arrow key, to start the Linux Mint, and press Enter, it will launch a complete Linux Mint desktop (this still does not install anything on your computer).

First in English Welcome window opens, select the language to be used during the installation process. This language is used as the default language on your computer. Continue.
Preparing to install Linux Mint KDE 12. To get the best results, make sure that: Your computer’s hard disk has at least 6.5 GB of free space. The computer is connected to the Internet (cable).
Disk Setup, where you want to install Linux Mint 12 KDE version? Select either the guided-use entire disk or partition itself, Manual. I choose the Guided-use version wizard, this is the easiest installation option when you only have one single operating system on your computer. Continue to install now.

Kept the default keyboard layout? Choose whether you want to keep using the default language and region, if you choose this option keyboard-related questions are not asked. Press Yes. Or change the keyboard layout for your region. Continue.
Profile, type your name in lowercase letters, enter the password twice, and then select log in automatically, if the computer are used by more people then require a password to check-in, you can add multiple accounts after installation. Continue the installation will take a little coffee break.
The installation is complete. You can continue to experiment Linux Mint, but none of the changes, or the documents are not retained, until you restart your computer. Press the restart now, the system will close, remove the installation media when it ask for that, and press Enter, then you have access to the Linux Mint 12 KDE version.
