		<description>I quite agree. I wonder if Microsoft&#039;s &quot;third column&quot; has infiltrated Linux with Gnome 3 so that we can all have bloat-ware?  It certainly seems like a massive step back, and Cinnamon seems to be a lot of effort for no real reward. Xfce looks to be the only way to go if we want to exercise logic. Why do the really clever people think that we need these fancy desktops? If a couple of geese will keep my lawn cut and lay eggs for free, why on earth do I need a tractor and set of gang-mowers from the local football club do do the same job?</description>

		<description>This is the best solution I have found.  Brilliant.  I have upgraded from 11 and was finding all sorts of problems getting used to Mint 12 just so different in areas. (lol) 
Not sure why others have posted up such cumbersome answers to something that can be so simple.
